Translator’s Bio: Elias Teclemariam received his Bachelor’s degree in 1989 from University of Alberta. He worked as a freelance interpreter for Canada Immigration abroad from 2004 to 2008. Currently, he is working as a freelance interpreter for Canada Immigration, Refugee admissibility interviews and Refugee Hearings. He also has extensive experience of interpreting for Provincial Courts of Law – Alberta, especially in the civil proceedings, criminal trials, traffic and family matters. In addition, he provides interpretation services for insurance, hospitals, discovery, WCB and telephone interviews etc. from all over Canada and the US.
Editor’s Bio: Abel Negasi joined United Cultures of Canada Association as an interpreter about three years ago. For several years, Abel was a licensed interpreter and translator back in Germany where he used to live for 18 years. He loves to read books in different languages, translating documents, short stories and editing transcripts and books. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Agricultural Engineering from University of Kassel / Witzenhausen in Germany.
